A long horizontal rod heated at one end, provides an extended surface (pin) for heat transfer measurements. Temperature sensors at steady interludes along the rod allow the surface temperature profile to be measured. Electrical heater used to heat the rod with adjustable power and safety for high temperature.
Optional Software is available for Data Acquisition and Control Function.
